Portixel is a platform designed to help creatives instantly build, manage, and showcase their portfolios using AI. The goal of the project was to create a seamless workflow where users can generate case studies, organize design assets, and manage tasks within a single intuitive interface. As the product designer, I focused on crafting an experience that reduces manual work and enhances creative productivity.

Creatives struggle with time-consuming portfolio building, especially writing case studies and organizing work.
Workflows across tools are fragmented, forcing users to switch between Figma, Notion, Google Drive, Canva, etc.
Many designers lack clarity on how to structure their process, assets, and achievements into a compelling portfolio.
AI tools exist, but none are tailored for the specific storytelling, structure, and workflow needs of designers.

I started by exploring how designers and creatives build, manage, and publish their portfolios. Through user interviews and research, I uncovered major pain points and opportunities for improvement in the current portfolio creation landscape.

Synthesizing the research, I articulated a clear problem statement:
How might we help creatives spend less time writing, organizing, and sharing their work by using AI to streamline portfolio creation and workflow management?

In this phase, I ideated and prototyped:
Defined user flows for “Upload Assets,” “Generate Case Study,” “Organize Projects,” “Publish,” and “Share.”
Sketched interface wireframes that show real-time feedback (e.g., case study drafts updating as the user edits).
Built visual components: smart folders, AI-generated content modules, and a timeline-style task manager to track portfolio tasks.
Developed a points or progress dashboard (gamified) to motivate usage and reward users for milestones (completing a case study, publishing a project, etc.).
